Ernesti Echevalier is the main protagonist of Knight's & Magic. He made his series debut in Trouble in Paradise.

Canon[]

Ernesti is the main character of Knight's & Magic.

When Tsubasa Kurata, a middle-aged mecha otaku & programmer by profession dies from a car accident, he dies and gets reincarnated into another world as Ernesti Echevalier. Ernesti Echevalier ultimately becomes a highly-talented young man who aids in the evolution of Silhouette Knight technology.

Pre-Convergence[]

He is taken from after the first season of Knight's & Magic.

Plot Involvement[]

Trouble in Paradise[]

Ernesti Echevalier had quite a lot of involvement within the event, interaction with a wide variety of characters. He displayed a great deal of interest in combat and robotics.

During the Final Battle, Ernesti absolutely refused to back down on the fight with Bowser due to his own interests of wanting to test his own power against the reptillian monstrousity.

After Ernesti spends some time on Isle Delfino, he returns to his homeworld, only to be embraced by his friend Addy, who missed him very much during his disappearance.

One of his first requests during his return was for the Dwarves to aid in his reconstruction of the Sand Bird.

Right Hand of the Magic God[]

He makes a brief cameo during the dead end in which Othinus destroys the entire multiverse with her newfound power after the fourth chapter.

It is believed that he returns to life after the end of the event as the multiverse is restored.

Character Relationships[]

  • Yamashiro - A character from Kantai Collection who debuted in Trouble in Paradise. They had quite a friendship, as Yamashiro was a vassal and Ernesti was a pilot. Yamashiro even attempted to calm Ernesti down when he was ready to heavily punish the Student Council for their crimes.
  • Ritsuka Fujimura - The protagonist of Fate/Grand Order who debuted in Trouble in Paradise. Just as with Yamashiro, Ernesti and Ritsuka acted as allies during the event.

Trivia[]

  • In canon, he is affectionately called "Eru," or "Ernie" in some subtitled or dubbed editions of the anime. However, this was never applied in Trouble in Paradise, and everyone called him Ernesti, or Arbursti.
  • His feminine appearance has caused certain NPCs such as Luigi and the Pianta Prison Guards to mistake him for a girl.
