Ollerus is a character from A Certain Magical Index. He made his series debut in Right Hand of the Crimson Moon.

Canon[]

Ollerus is a supporting character from A Certain Magical Index, appearing most prominently in the first half of the New Testament saga.

He is an enigmatic individual who once had the chance to become a Magic God, a one in ten thousand year chance, but passed on it, instead choosing to save a cat when he had the chance, while Othinus became a Magic God in his place.

Despite being an "incomplete Magic God," Ollerus still remains as one of the strongest magicians in the world, having been vigorously pursued by magical organizations intent on seeking his power and knowledge, though he has managed to elude all of them with ease.

Pre-Convergence[]

It is mentioned in passing exposition during A Certain Bizarre Adventure that in the distant past, Ollerus and Othinus had fought before, resulting in the splitting of Gungnir throughout the multiverse, diverging from canon history, in order to stop her from becoming a full Magic God. As a result, Othinus fled into hiding, waiting for her next chance to become a full Magic God.

Through unclear means, Ollerus had caught wind of the activities of Fiamma of the Right during the events of the Fiamma Incident, and that Othinus had taken an interest in his ability to influence the multiverse, prompting her to make a move to re-enact her plans.

Plot Involvement[]

Right Hand of the Crimson Moon[]

Ollerus made a brief appearance in the epilogue, approaching an unconscious Fiamma of the Right alongside Silvia, with the intention to use the trace amount of the Right Hand of the Crimson Moon located within Fiamma in order to prevent Othinus's plans.

The Heavy Saga[]

First Chapter - Short Change Hero[]

Ollerus, alongside Fiamma of the Right appeared in the end of the first chapter to apprehend to Revolver Ocelot, who had come across the head of the Spear of Gungnir.

Ollerus came to obtain the head of the spear from the possession of Warren Vidic, a member of the Revanchist. However, Ocelot got to it first, leading to a short confrontation which ended in Fiamma using the residual power inside of him to send Ocelot to the city of Rapture, leading into his appearance in Restless in Rapture.

A Certain Bizarre Adventure[]

Having obtained the spear's head from Ocelot, Ollerus and Fiamma recruited Touma Kamijou to their cause, heading to the small town of Morioh in order to locate several members of the enemy organization GREMLIN and the mystical artifact known as the Arrow. The three began investigating a large abandoned house, where GREMLIN members were rumored to be located.

He took to investigating the upstairs, while Fiamma took to the right and Touma took to the left. He reappeared later, knocking Kagun Kihara off of his feet in order to save Touma, and having a confrontation with Marian Slingeneyer. Ollerus recovered the Requiem Arrow before encountering Dio Brando. After a brief scuffle, Dio, Marian, and Kihara all retreated, and Ollerus had a new mission to find someone who could guard that Arrow.

A Certain Golden Requiem[]

After traveling into another world, Ollerus found Diavolo attacking Giorno Giovanna. Ollerus used his powers to save Giorno, as fate had brought the two parties together. They extract that Giorno is Dio's son, and then proceeded to recruit the boy to their ranks. After an encounter with several other members of Passione, Giorno recruited Jotaro Kujo to their ranks, and went off to their next destination.

Some time later, off-screen, Ollerus also recruited Leivinia Birdway to his cause.

A Certain Bizarre Encounter[]

While scouring the multiverse, Ollerus and his associates happen upon Green Dolphin Street Prison, where they encountered Jotaro's daughter Jolyne Cujoh and her friend Ermes Costello. Ollerus, believing that Jolyne is one of the fighters destined to take Othinus down, recruits the two to their cause alongside his associates.

Some time afterward, off-screen, he recruits Diego Brando to their cause of fighting Othinus.

Uncertainty Principle[]

Ollerus appears briefly at the end of the event, alerting Makoto Naegi and Kyoko Kirigiri about the threat of Othinus, DIO, and Enrico Pucci.

Right Hand of the Magic God[]

Ollerus was a major figure in the event. He acted as a guide to the Survivors and their mission to defeat Othinus.

During the first chapter, Ollerus joined the group heading downstairs, who encountered Pucci. He assisted the group during their fight. He later joined the group in confronting Othinus, before she fled.

In the second chapter, Ollerus joined them in their trip to Morioh, helping the group in their investigation of Yoshikage Kira, while also being trapped in his time loop. He assisted during the fight against Kira, however, was upset by Touma killing him due to wanting to interrogate him.

In the third chapter, Ollerus stayed on the mission to find Othinus, ending up in Academy City. He, alongside the group and Misaka 10032, entered the building known as Endymion and met Pucci once again. They stood and watched the fight between the group and Pucci. However, he was injured by Pucci in the middle of the fight.

As Pucci tried to speed up the world's time using Made in Heaven, Ollerus desperately assisted the group during their fight. When Endymion was destroyed, they crashed into the ocean. He threw Rita Hanson into the water, and lead them all to safety.

During the fourth chapter, Ollerus and Fiamma lead the group towards the energy signals emitted by Marian and Jiren. He would assist the group during their fight with the two, eventually killing them off, feeling reluctant at the death of a former ally.

During the fifth chapter, after the erasure and rewriting of the Multiverse, Ollerus investigated the vaults of the Coalition's headquarters in Knowhere, finding the Ultimate Nullifier. He attempted to use it on Othinus, but it was a failure, and he was killed off by the Magic God.

He was revived in the sixth chapter, having a conversation with Fiamma in the town center of Avalon, and was later revived for good when Othinus brought the multiverse back.

During the final battle, Ollerus assisted the group in their fight against Heaven Ascenscion DIO.

Between the Lines[]

Second Chapter - Fall of the Keeper[]

Ollerus was assisting Kyoko Kirigiri and the rest of the Coalition's heads in planning the protection of the Great Spirits, when Will Vandom broke into the meeting room. During the ensuing fight, Ollerus blasted Vandom into the wall using his power, and wounded her.

Zero Hour[]

In the aftermath of the Zero Hour, it is mentioned that, off-screen, Ollerus approached Doppo Kunikida to discuss the fate of Thor, who ultimately had managed to escape justice for his crimes. With the Revanchist disbanded and its resources rendered null, Ollerus believes Thor has little other choice than to return to his home world, where he intends to apprehend Thor there, and as such, Ollerus asks Doppo to let himself, along with Othinus and others, handle Thor, leaving his fate out of the hands of the multiversal organizations despite his crimes.

Ollerus finally appears later in the aftermath of the event, returning to his home world alongside Touma Kamijou, Othinus, Fiamma of the Right, and Accelerator. When they arrive once again in Academy City, an explosion suddenly rings out shortly after their arrival. Before running off to investigate, Fiamma guesses that Thor is behind the explosion, though it is not revealed for certain.

Trivia[]

  • His name is the romanized version of the name of the Norse god Ullr.

During their travels together, Ollerus once destroyed a human trafficking organization and housed the hundred rescued children in Silvia's residence. Silvia is referenced by name briefly in the aftermath of Zero Hour.
  • In the past, shortly before the events of the Fiamma Incident, Ollerus had once traveled to Academy City and fought with Gunha Sogiita. Both of the aforementioned events are chronicled in Volume SS2 of A Certain Magical Index.
