Paladin Jackson is a character from Fallout 3. He made his debut in The Ultimate Game.

Canon[]

Paladin Jackson is an alternate version of the customizable protagonist of Fallout 3.

He is an alternate version of Riley, also known as the Lone Wanderer, from the future, taking a different path where he attempted to sabotage Project Purity and destroy the Wasteland.

Pre-Convergence[]

It is known that Paladin Jackson hails from an alternate universe, or rather future timeline, of Fallout. Designated as an incarnation of the Lone Wanderer who appeared in The Ultimate Game who had gone mad with power after poisoning Project Purity in his world. It is unknown how or when he came to work under the Arch Demon.

Plot Involvement[]

The Ultimate Game[]

Though details are unclear, it is implied that he was sent to sabotage the efforts of the Coalition by the Arch Demon and aid Arya Stark's attack on the headquarters.

Jackson arrived during Arya's raid on the Coalition Headquarters. He and several Brotherhood members helped chase Arya out from the headquarters. When he was alone with two initiates, he was revealed by them to be a traitor to the Brotherhood. He was executed, or so they thought. He attacked two Brotherhood soldiers, and disappeared.

Later, in Silent Hill, he cornered Riley. He wanted to erase Riley, his former "good" self from existence. He shot Riley, though non-fatally, and disappeared.

Suicide Squad[]

First Chapter - Suicide Squad[]

It is known that after the events of The Ultimate Game, he eluded the grasp of the Coalition and became a prominent figure within the Wasteland. Though it is unknown if he officially joins the Suicide Squad, his endeavors in his world are backed and funded by the Shareholders.

Bad End[]

Fourth Chapter - The Shareholders[]

The remaining members of the Suicide Squad, sans Azula and Sabbat the Necromagus, and accompanied by Paladin Jackson and the Man in White, are assigned by the upper echelon of the Shareholders to a warehouse in Silent Earth, supposedly assigned with the task of maintaining their hold on the world as the Order has gradually been attempting to regain their land.

While the Man in White retreats to another room in their new makeshift base to contact his superiors, Claire Stanfield attempts to initiate a dialogue with Locus, Jackson, and Krieg, to little avail. Irritated with the unresponsiveness of his allies, Claire begins to turn around and take a walk, despite the dangers of wandering through Silent Earth unprotected. Before he can get very far however, Adam Jensen appears seemingly out of nowhere, breaking through a wall and killing Krieg, and then Paladin Jackson upstairs, implied to have done so by stabbing him through the head with his arm blades.

Character Relationships[]

  • The Lone Wanderer - The protagonist of Fallout 3 who made his debut in The Ultimate Game. As mentioned above, he is an alternate version of him from the future, who is comparatively more "evil" to the Lone Wanderer's goodness.

Trivia[]

  • Though his surname is "Jackson," it should be noted that it is not the same surname that Riley claims to have, which is "Peterson."
