The Goddess

The Goddess is a canon side-story that began on November 26, 2019 and ended on March 26th, 2020. When a mysterious deity known simply as the Goddess makes herself known to the Multiverse, a council of faiths meets to determine her validity, and a select number of those gathered find themselves tangled in something far greater. Trivia[]

In the original drafts for this event, similarly to Civil War, participants in this event were to pick one of two sides: Goddessians, those in favor of the Goddess, or Secularists, those opposed to her. However, much of the original drafts were changed due to the rather unpredictable actions of the participants. For instance, Izana was never to have died, and a war in Hell had not been the plan for the first two chapters.
A few characters from Champions of the Arena make an appearance in this event, with an older Eli White having a prominent role.
This is the first installment of the Emerald Saga, the second being Fate of the Old Gods.
It was confirmed in Zero Hour that the prologue for this event overlaps with The Only Hopes on Infinite Earths.
